2. Which Indian group settled the area? Where did they originate? What is the name of the larger group to which they belonged?
3. How were the mounds built? Why were they built?
4. Describe the houses in which the people lived.
5. What was the use of the plaza?
6. How did the people provide food for themselves?
7. Describe the art and pottery.
8. Is there evidence of trade? Be specific.
9. In only a couple of generations the culture which had built the mounds had degenerated into a less organized and less advanced civilization. Why do you think this happened?
10. In the years after the Spanish and English came into the area, is there evidence of assimilation? Give examples.
