THE EGYPTIAN MUSEUM

 

First, select one of the four topics.  In groups of ___(depending on class size), prepare a museum display to teach the various aspects of the topic.

THE PYRAMIDS

THE VALLEY OF THE KINGS

THE TEMPLES OF LUXOR AND KARNAK

MUMMIFICATION

 

1.Use the research opportunities and collect adequate data.

2. Make a Task Sheet.

3. Create a museum display. This should include a backboard with illustrations (use tape so that you can reuse the backboard).The teams may use other displays to enrich the museum if they wish. The group may also do a Powerpoint to accompany the museum  but not to replace it. (see Powerpoint Pointers for some guidelines on the acceptable Powerpoint presentation.)

4. Prepare a script. See guidelines.

5. One student will present the museum as its docent. Each person in the group must participate in the presentation in some way.
