THE BRAIN CONNECTION

The study of psychology is really just the study of the brain in action. Our personalities are a combination of learned and genetic qualities and to understand our behavior and emotions we must understand the complex mechanism of the brain.

On the left are three link to omnibus Brain sites.  Brainplace is really interesting and we will use it during the semester. The Whole Brain Atlas is a fine resource site and The Brain Connection provides a lot of useful information for the novice.

We will use the Lucito Model all semester because I think it is the easiest way to discuss the brain.  It is clear and diagrammatic and allows us to discuss the brain without having to resort to difficult biological terms.  Please be familiar with the terms of the model and the way it works.
