THE FIVE THEMES OF GEOGRAPHY ASSIGNMENTS

ASSIGNMENT 1

1.   Draw a relative location map from Sprayberry High School to your house

2.   Then, on a sheet of typing paper, apply the Five Themes of Geography to your house. Draw your house in the center of the       page and illustrations of the Five Themes around your house. Please be sure you label the Themes.

ASSIGNMENT 2

In the Media Center you must use the print materials as well as the Internet. Provide a Works Cited Page, please. We will expect  at least 50% of the references to be print, such as Atlases, the encyclopedia and specialized books. Both the Media Specialists and the teachers will help you locate the books.

INSTRUCTIONS:

Here are the Absolute Locations of 5 world cities. Please do the following:

1. Identify the city using the Longitude and Latitude
2. Apply the Five Themes of Geography to each
3. Following the example of the Five Themes exercise in Assignment 1, illustrate the Five Themes as they apply to ONE city.
